 Sanguis
One of the California Central Coast's highly acclaimed producers of Rhone varietal wines, Sanguis is at home in the heart of Santa Barbara.
There are NO FORMULAS and NO SEQUELS - wine is first and foremost a product of nature and should reflect each vintage's specific character supported by the creative hand of the winemaker. The only thing that is always consistent is quality.
Great vineyards and farming are the basis for making great wine. The vineyards that are the basis for our wines are cool climate sites in Sta. Rita Hills, Alisos Canyon and the hills east of Santa Maria. These special vineyards, combined with sustainably farming to low yields and optimal ripeness, the gentlest handling and patience in the cellar are what make Sanguis wines what they are.
Each wine we release is a unique blend, bearing a different name and label. Tastings are available by appointment.
