Assistant Tasting Room & Restaurant Manager (Roblar Winery)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operations and performance of the tasting room.
  • Responsible for the management and well-being of our tasting room employees, including associates, servers., bussers, and cleaning staff.
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing location, including locking and unlocking, setting alarms, and ensuring everyone is off property.

 

More specific tasks/roles:

  • Must have prior restaurant experience, preferably in a fine dining or upscale full service environment.
  • Lead all tasting room and restaurant staff, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
  • Manage the maintenance of the tasting room in terms of wine inventory, functioning systems, and overall look & feel.
  • Responsible for staffing tasting room sections and understanding overall scheduling procedures of staff.
  • Responsible for networking and participating in the wine community as a brand ambassador of Roblar and to identify individuals that could be a good fit for the Company.
  • Assisting with onboarding and training any new staff.
  • Having a thorough understanding of the POS software.
  • Assisting with cash handling, including deposits and handling change.
  • Foster relationships with tasting room staff, communicating important items to them from daily notes to overall sales performance.
  • Assist with answering inquiries relating to tasting room and tasting room events via company emails, as well as assisting with responding promptly to phone messages and other inquiries.
  • Respond to and follow-up on outreach from guests who have visited our tasting room (i.e. questions about wines, refunds, experiences, etc.)
  • Keep supplies up to date.
  • Constantly be thinking about new and exciting ways to improve and stay ahead of the curve.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
