WINERY DESCRIPTION:

 

Jonata, The Hilt and The Paring is an estate owned grower and producer based in Santa Barbara County encompassing three unique wine brands, two estate properties and one team dedicated to farming, winemaking, sales and marketing. Jonata (2004) in Ballard Canyon is a renowned winery known for singular expressions of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and other varietals. The Hilt (2008) in Sta. Rita Hills is an evolving wine brand that represents a benchmark of cold climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from California. The Paring (2005) is made from select blocks of Jonata, The Hilt and select vineyards across California that offers a best-in-class selection of wines at an incredible value.

 

ROLE PROFILE:

 

The position reports directly to the Director of DTC Sales and will be active in all direct sales channels including but not limited to sales, subscriptions, clubs, wine releases, shipping, customer communication and data collection. The position’s main goal is to facilitate and promote the growth of the Subscriptions/Club channel and help to support all logistic functions of the DTC sales channel.

 

JOB SUMMARY/ OBJECTIVE:

 

• Work directly with the Director of DTC Sales to maintain and develop all DTC channels.

• Strategize and grow the Subscriptions Membership program.

• Assist in the planning and execution of sales campaigns within all DTC Channels.

• Manage the shipping, logistics and inventory surrounding all DTC Shipments.

• Participate in ongoing efforts to grow consumer email lists and build brand loyalty.

• Represent our winery and brands to the highest standards as a brand ambassador.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:

 

• Assist the Director of DTC Sales to oversee the Subscriptions program, email campaigns, releases, allocations and special programs.

• Process customer orders and communicate with clientele to ensure a premium level of service.

• Management of POS Systems, integrated ecommerce platforms, customer data, mailing lists and reporting.

• Coordinate shipping and logistics for DTC orders.

• Host and support the hospitality team when needed, including winery events on and off site.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree, similar degree or two or more years experience in the hospitality or wine industry.

• Office administration, customer service, sales, marketing, or social media experience is a plus.

• Experience with winery POS systems, ecommerce, shipping and compliance.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and have reliable transportation.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on occasion.

• Must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

 

SCHEDULE/ LOCATION:

 

• Full-Time hourly position (40 hours), Monday – Friday.

• Some evenings and weekends will be required.

• Facilities and vineyards are in Santa Barbara County and will require working onsite. Some work from home may be allowed.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

 

• The base pay for this role ranges from $28.00-$31.25 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.

• Full-time employees are eligible for benefits and paid vacation after probation period.
