FT Wine Educator & Wine Shipping Associate (Stolpman Vineyards)
Stolpman Vineyards, a family-owned winery in the heart of Santa Barbara County, is seeking a FT Wine Educator and Wine Shipping Associate to join our team in Los Olivos, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful tasting room and share our wines with guests from all over the world.
The Wine Educator and Wine Shipping Associate role will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests visiting our tasting room, as well as efficiently packing and shipping wine orders for guests, online orders, and wine club members.
These duties are a representative example; position assignments may vary depending on the business needs of the organization.
o Provide guests with a warm welcome, and an informative and educational tasting experience.
o Pour and describe wines with knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm.
o Promote and sell wine club memberships, wines, and merchandise.
o Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
o Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, and organizing the tasting room.
o Maintain a professional appearance and represent all the Stolpman Vineyard brands in a positive manner.
o Follow all safety and alcohol service guidelines.
o Process and pack wine orders accurately and efficiently
o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room and packaging/shipping area.
o Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
o Prior tasting room or customer service experience
o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
o Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
o Familiarity with wine, shipping preferred.
o Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
