Boutique Winery is looking for a Hospitality and DTC Sales lead to join our small but mighty team of fun, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial-minded individuals. We’re looking for someone who is interested in growing with the company and is invested in their own career growth in the wine industry. This role would be mostly private wine tour sales on our Estate Property in Santa Ynez. There is also some time available for winery work, if desired, to strengthen one’s knowledge of the winemaking process.

 

We’re looking for someone to help build our DTC sales and wine club program and increase memberships. This is an opportunity to develop a winning DTC and wine club growth plan and manage the execution. You will work directly with the owner and wine club manager on all things wine club and DTC sales. We love big ideas and want someone who is willing to take initiative.

 

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day focus on sales goals

• Work in tandem with wine club manager on club shipments, including preparing shipments, tracking, re-shipping and communicating with our clients making sure their needs are met

• Own sales and wine club sign-up goals and provide insight, ideas, and feedback for how to reach targets each month

• Assist wine club manager with customer service emails and phone support by replying to all incoming customer inquiries in a timely, warm, professional, and proactive manner

• Monitor all sales metrics and report at weekly team meetings

• Build our regional footprint by developing local relationships and awareness of our wines – engage with local hotels, concierges, and restaurants on a regular basis

• Identify unique business opportunities including, partnerships, events, and promotions

• Maintain wine tasting calendar by responding to all incoming inquiries, overseeing daily schedule, and hosting tours at both our Estate tasting location in Santa Ynez and production facility in Buellton

• Be our representative at tastings in local area events

• Assist with maintaining inventory of case goods, wine club brochures, and merchandise

Requirements:

• DTC sales experience

• 5-10 years working in the wine industry

• Santa Barbara County-based or reside in very close proximity and are willing to commute

• Basic wine knowledge is essential

• This position requires the use of your personal vehicle with a valid driver’s license and proper insurance

• Ability to lift 50 lbs

• Impeccable communication skills with a strong attention to detail

• Working understanding of Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint & Google Docs

• A strong understanding of WineDirect e-commerce or Commerce 7 platform

• Marketing experience a plus

• Proficiency in design programs like Canva, Photoshop, etc. is a plus!
