Beckmen Vineyards is a family-owned winery with a reputation for producing high quality, critically acclaimed wines in Santa Barbara’s wine country. We are actively seeking to hire a motivated, enthusiastic individual to be our Tasting Room manager. This is an ideal opportunity for outgoing, well-organized individuals who have excellent customer service and management skills. Experience with hospitality and sales. Responsibilities include
• Managing the overall guest experience – ensuring that the visitor’s experience reflects the vision and goals of the Beckmen family
• Leading an experienced, diverse team of talented salespeople
• Working with Director of Sales to manage and reach sales goals
• Coordinating scheduling and staffing of tasting room employees
• Managing and ordering tasting room supplies and inventory
• Maintaining the appearance of the tasting room
• Training current and new staff members

 

Requirements
• Minimum of five years’ experience in wine or hospitality industry preferred
• Experience managing a tasting room or wine program preferred
• Experience with POS, reservation, and computer systems
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time, lift 40+ pounds regularly
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays
