Hiring PT Tasting Room Associates (Melville Winery)

Job description:

We are currently looking for a part-time Tasting Room Associate for our estate winery location in the beautiful Sta. Rita Hills. This is a part-time position (1-2 days per week; Fridays & Saturdays are required).

We are seeking candidates with sales experience, a basic knowledge of wine, and most importantly, exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication and time management skills, the ability to multi-task, as well as a positive, enthusiastic attitude are also imperative. Though experience in the wine/restaurant/hospitality industries is desirable, it is not required.

Compensation is hourly with new wine club sign up commissions plus tips, which are variable but significant!

REQUIREMENTS

• 21 or older
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Possess a genuine interest in wine, even if not experienced in serving or selling wine. We will teach you what you need to be successful in this role. You must be coachable.
• Must be available to work weekends and possibly an additional weekday as needed.
• Capable of lifting 40 pounds
