Carr Winery, established in 1999 by owner and winemaker Ryan Carr, specializes in limited-production, ultra premium wines sourced from vineyards in Santa Barbara County. With over 100 acres under management through Carr Vineyards – a management and development company, Ryan brings a hands-on approach to every vintage, carefully overseeing the growing, harvesting, and winemaking process. Carr Winery produces many varietals including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Sangiovese, Grenache, and Cabernet Franc.
Carr Winery welcomes guests at two distinct locations: a 1940s Quonset Hut in downtown Santa Barbara and a 3,800 square-foot warehouse in Santa Ynez. Both venues offer wine tastings, wines by the glass, and wine on tap, all produced in the downtown Santa Barbara winery. Events at the winery throughout the year invite guests to enjoy live music, release parties, winemaker dinners, and more, including private events for receptions, corporate functions, and special celebrations.
