Founded in 2015 by owner and winemaker Laura Hughes, Loubud is dedicated exclusively to handcrafted sparkling wines made in small lots from premium Sta. Rita Hills fruit. Each bottle reflects the care, precision, and artistry of traditional sparkling winemaking, offering vibrant bubbles, elegant texture, and a celebratory character that sets Loubud apart from a typical tasting room experience.
Guests are invited to slow down and savor exceptional sparkling wines in one of the most charming settings in Santa Barbara. The tasting room blends old-world warmth with playful creativity—white adobe walls, red tile floors, vintage records spinning in the background, and sunlit windows opening onto the courtyard. It feels intimate, welcoming, and distinctly local.
Loubud is also home to hand-cut wooden puzzles created by owner and puzzlemaker Paul Hughes, giving guests a one-of-a-kind experience where they can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine while solving artisan puzzles at their table.
