Alma Rosa Winery is dedicated to making Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that are emblematic of the Sta. Rita Hills’ unique terroir.
Under the leadership of owners Bob and Barb Zorich, Alma Rosa works with many of the region’s top vineyard sites, including Alma Rosa’s El Jabali estate vineyard, which was first planted in 1983 by Alma Rosa founder and Sta. Rita Hills pioneer Richard Sanford.
Winemaker Samra Morris, who originally hails from Bosnia, along with consulting winemaker Tony Biagi, embrace the cool climate impact of the Pacific Ocean breezes that funnel through the Sta. Rita Hills’ east-west transverse mountain range, making layered, vibrant, balanced and vineyard-driven wines. The majority of Alma Rosa’s wines are produced in small quantities of 300 or fewer cases and reflect the essence of specific vineyard sites in the region.
Guests may visit Alma Rosa at our stunning tasting room located in downtown Buellton, where we invite you to taste a selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines, as well as small-lot Rhône varietal wines of Syrah and Grenache. For an elevated experience, we offer a Ranch House Wine & Cheese Experience at Alma Rosa’s beautiful 628-acre ranch in the Sta. Rita Hills’ southern corridor, comprised of 38 acres of vineyards spread across 5 non-contiguous sites on the estate.
We look forward to greeting you to our special corner of Santa Barbara County!
