Working with well farmed grapes is always our first goal and Santa Barbara County offers a beautifully diverse group of sites and zones to choose from. We are proud to work with many talented people from our specialize farming outfits in the Santa Ynez Valley area. We source grapes from sites including, Tierra Alta Vineyard, Rio Vista, Destiny Vineyard, Thompson Vineyard, White Hawk Vineyard, Watch Hill Vineyard, Estelle Vineyard, Kimsey Vineyard, Mora Vineyard, Culpo di Fortuna, Watch Tower and Rogue Hill.
SIMPLICITY IN THE CELLAR
Our wine making style always endeavors to correlate and continue the hard work accomplished in the vineyard. Simplicity in the cellar means, minimal interventions, utilizing ambient yeast for many lots, minimal oak influence, low sulfur, no magic nerd dusts or happy goos and always preferring gravity for moving wine whenever possible. Whatever it takes to do less…Finding sites that are “naturally stable”. Traditional single vineyard wines as well as dedicated blends where the proportions and grapes are typically being decided before the grapes are ever harvested. Not ever just “county” blends with the barrels that are left over. The results are pure, expressive and honest wines we hope you will enjoy.
