Dreamcôte was founded in 2012 by Brit Zotovich with the goal of telling a story Santa Barbara County – “Where the land meets the sea”. Brit and her husband Ryan produce vibrant wines from sustainably-farmed grapes, showcasing the remarkable range & diversity of winegrape growing within coastal Santa Barbara County – from the western cool, foggy maritime days & nights in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, Lompoc (closest to the ocean) to the eastern-sides hot days & cool nights of the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara sub AVA in Santa Ynez. Brit & Ryan started after Cal Poly in Sta. Rita Hills on the Zotovich Family Vineyard but Brit longed to craft wines that told a more complete story of the Santa Barbara County AVAs coastal climate, terrain & maritime growing potential.
Their winemaking approach blends traditional old-world fermentation techniques, adds experimental twists – resulting in vibrant, fruit-forward, low-alcohol wines that offer pure, transparent expressions of vineyard, varietal & vintage.
