Refugio Ranch is a 415 acre former cattle ranch, nestled into the north face of the Santa Ynez Mountains, with the Santa Ynez River serving as the northern property line. In 2006 the Gleason family planted a select 28 acres of the ranch to vineyards. All of our vineyards are farmed and harvested by hand, with a focus on low yields and concentration of fruit. The majority of the estate is unplanted, allowing for a spaciousness and natural, rugged beauty that is quintessential Santa Ynez Valley.
Come experience the magic! Our Refugio Ranch Estate Tastings are private, reservation-only wine tasting experiences at the “Barn” on the Refugio Ranch Estate Vineyard. Your party will have the place to yourselves as our dedicated Wine Educator provides an in-depth knowledge of Refugio Ranch winemaking and viticultural practices, set to the peaceful backdrop of undulating hills of vineyards. *Reservation Only
