Steeped in the long history of the Santa Ynez Valley, the land that is now Roblar Winery and Roblar Farm was, for decades, dedicated to horse breeding and training. In the late 90s, with the recognition of the Valley’s potential as a premium California wine destination, 21 acres of the equestrian ranch were planted to vineyards. The Gleason Family, as members of the local wine community since 2004, took the helm of Roblar in 2017. Since that time, we have expanded and improved upon the vineyard and wine program, developed a worldclass culinary program, and cultivated a robust organic produce farm—all supporting the vibrant ecosystem that Roblar is today.
At Roblar, we show our guests what it means to experience Santa Barbara Wine Country. Our centrally located estate includes a majestic 5000sf tasting room, beautiful vineyards, and state of the art winery facility.
Our favorable location, unique soil composition, and the region’s dynamic climate set up an ideal environment to produce a wide variety of wines. Our estate vineyard focuses on Bordeaux varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. In addition, we have plantings of Sangiovese, Syrah, Grenache, and Graciano, providing an eclectic array from which our Winemaker crafts our distinctive blends and single-varietal bottlings. We source Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from premier vineyards in the neighboring Santa Rita Hills AVA—one of the most highly recognized Pinot Noir and Chardonnay regions in the world.
