Toccata is where Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards colors outside the lines.
The sister tasting room to the more widely known Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards, Toccata starts with estate-grown fruit from our sustainably farmed Santa Barbara County vineyards and takes a more adventurous path. Alongside the Italian varieties that inspired Toccata, you’ll find small-production concept wines, low-intervention winemaking, unexpected blends, skin-contact wines, unfiltered releases and whatever else our vineyards – and winemaker Megan McGrath Gates – inspire us to try next.
The wines are grown locally by pioneering grape grower Louis Lucas, picked by hand, and made with a minimalist touch in the cellar. Some are traditional. Some are a little wild. All are meant to be interesting, approachable and, most importantly, good to drink.
Toccata is wine without the formality: fair prices, curious bottles, a relaxed tasting room and plenty of reasons to try something you’ve never had before.
